Liverpool, England was the place to be for Firefighters in 2008 as Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service proudly played host to the 10th World Firefighters Games!
The Games were a mini Olympics for Firefighters and a fantastic opportunity for Firefighters across the world to get together and compete in the 67 events that were on offer. The Games ran from 24 August – 3rd September 2008 and over 5,000 competitors and their families streamed into the city to join in the fun. The emphasis of the games focused on fun, family, friendship and everyone having a great time!
Special Event Merchandising were the exclusive merchandise partners for the Games and designed a progressive range of merchandise to make sure that all competitors and spectators were catered for. SEM designed, produced, wholesaled and retailed all merchandise for the event in Liverpool, England. Despite being based in Melbourne, SEM were able to deliver an extremely successful merchandise program which was both on-time and on-budget with the event organisers expectations being exceeded.
In addition to the official merchandise, Special Event Merchandising also designed and supplied all uniforms, apparel and headwear for the event officials and volunteers.
